Period Elegance Restored
The homeowners of this beautiful period property in Seaford, East Sussex, have balanced traditional with contemporary.

After stripping out pillars, mock ceiling roses, an old fireplace, ceramic floor tiles and carpet, we carefully carried out preparatory work. Alongside modifications to close up a doorway, we added insulation between the joists and renewed floorboards where necessary.
Our team overhauled the internal and exterior doors and irongmongery for better fit and operation. We also updated the staircase to simplify the detailing, and formed new simpler plaster niches and shelving.
The finished look is in-keeping with the age and style of the property, but completely modernised.
Luxury vinyl tiled flooring (LVT) in a golden oak colour provides a classic look that will withstand wear and tear and wet feet for years to come.
Crisp white paintwork picks out the now simplified period styling against the traditional porcelain blue colour chosen for the walls. And contemporary glass bubble chandeliers in the hallway and first floor landing space make a real statement.
