Small Changes Big Impact
Refitting the kitchen and bathroom and making several smaller but significant changes has made a big impact on the flow and feel of this home in Roselands, Eastbourne.

We ripped out a dated kitchen and archway to the adjoining dining space, to reveal an improved, open space at the rear of the property before managing the plumbing and heating, flooring and decorating and kitchen fitting.
Classic shaker style cabinets in navy contrast with white sparkle quartz-effect worktop. Fitted around three walls, the kitchen now offers ample storage with a mix of deep drawer units and wall-hung cupboards.
Great lighting is also transformational. Here, the kitchen-living space now benefits from overhead lighting, ambient and task lighting with under-unit and low-level spotlights.
Older bathrooms often suffer from cramped layouts and lack of storage. A modest extension into the back bedroom has enabled the bathroom to increase resulting in a light, bright space. In-keeping with the balance of contemporary and heritage style on the ground floor, traditional fittings for the basin and shower sit alongside a modern vanity unit and p-shaped bath.
A redundant upstairs toilet has also been ripped out to create an airing cupboard. This has provided useful storage for linens and laundry; a practical change that makes a big difference to everyday living.
Fitting a new front door and tiled entrance porch has improved the appearance and the security of the property. On the ground floor we also decorated the hallway and refurbished and shelved a fitted, downstairs cupboard to create further storage.
