The original footprint of the property remains but little else has stayed the same. Walls have been removed and rebuilt, doorways widened or relocated, floor levels altered, windows changed, and more.

The property now features a family lounge, snug lounge and store, kitchen and dining space with adjoining pantry, a laundry and utility room, WC, linen cupboard and 4 bedrooms, 2 of which have dressing rooms and en-suites. We also constructed a timber-frame extension to the rear to create a bedroom.

The resulting interior is bright and light and perfectly designed to meet the needs of the family’s three teenage children who have disabilities.

Colbran & Wingrove were appointed the main contractor for the renovation and worked with the contract administrator Gradient Consultants to manage the project from start to finish.

From rip-out to construction, the fitting of the kitchen and bathrooms, and decorating throughout, our remit was all-encompassing. We took care down to the last detail and Forming a bespoke media wall with lit recesses, to the formation of curved end-walls in the kitchen to continue the line and form of the cabinets.

We liaised closely with the family throughout during the build. Ensuring the smooth-running of the project with clear and continuous updates, even stepping in to assist in decision-making on paint colours and finishes.
