A New Home for RAF Veterans in Eastbourne
We're proud to share that Colbran & Wingrove has been chosen by the RAF Association to convert the former Eastbourne clubhouse on Wish Road into Bader House, ten independent living apartments for RAF veterans and their families.
Work is now under way. The building will become ten self-contained flats for RAF veterans and their spouses, widows or widowers aged 60 and over, each with its own bathroom and living, dining and kitchen areas. Onsite managers will look after day-to-day matters, so residents keep their independence while living among people who share an RAF connection.

The timing carries a particular meaning for us. As we look ahead to our own 60th anniversary in 2027, being part of a project that honours the history of both the building and the Association makes the work especially meaningful.
Bader House was gifted to the RAF Association by the Eastbourne Branch Club when it closed in 2023. It will join five other accommodation complexes the Association manages across the UK.

About the Building Futures Appeal
The RAF Association is raising funds to complete Bader House through its Building Futures Appeal. Donations go towards creating safe, supportive homes for veterans in later life.
