The Measure of Bespoke

Nothing quite measures up to bespoke cabinetry when it comes to achieving a high end look. We've put together a few of our favourite examples from past projects.

Bespoke cabinetry by Colbran & Wingrove

Bespoke cabinetry means you can be exacting about your colour, finish, design and dimensions. It equals ‘one-off’ too.

Whilst there's widespread availability of off-the-shelf storage solutions, bespoke means you can be exacting about your colour, finish, design and dimensions. It equals one-off too. The opportunity to create something unique that is perfectly sized and finished, just the way you want it. As a result, many of our projects feature made-to-measure pieces and storage solutions.

The built-in cabinets in the living room in the apartment pictured above was part of an entire property design scheme by Pfeiffer Design. Built, fitted and finished by our team, it really pops in a deep blue/green paint colour.

In this dreamy bedroom renovation we created built-in storage in the dressing room just off the master bedroom. The wardrobes run the depth of the room on both sides and feature custom-designed shelving and rail sections according to the homeowner’s specific requirements.

In the adjoining bedroom we also created a drawer unit that perfectly fits the space available. Painted to coordinate with the rest of the scheme, the storage makes the best possible use of the space available and a look that wouldn’t be achievable with bought, off-the-peg furniture.

Bespoke cabinetry comes into its own in the living room too. It’s great for curated collections of books, ornaments, art, photographs, TVs and media systems. The room divider with open shelving that features within this contemporary extension is a great example.

In this apartment, the construction of a false chimney breast allowed for the installation of a fireplace to create a focal point. For the two resulting alcoves, we built made-to-measure bookcases with cupboards at the base and finished them in a contrasting colour to suit the room’s décor.

Help for hallways overflowing with shoes and coats is another popular plea. As part of a property renovation in Lewes, we transformed an awkward corner space with floor to ceiling cubby holes for shoes. We also added a bench alongside with open storage underneath; just the place to perch as you pick your footwear.
