Eastbourne UnLtd Choose Colbran & Wingrove

Eastbourne builders Colbran & Wingrove were appointed by Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce to manage work at the Chamber’s offices in Hyde Gardens.

Christina Ewbank, Chief Executive commented “We’re thrilled to unveil brighter, smarter Eastbourne UnLtd Chamber of Commerce premises following work by Eastbourne builders Colbran & Wingrove who won a competitive tender for the contract. We’re delighted with the results and the service Colbran & Wingrove extended and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.”

This project included the redecoration of the front and rear facades of the building by our team. Rendering repairs around the building by Colbran & Wingrove preceded re-decorating with a bold colour scheme using ‘Soft Truffle’. This helps make the building stand out from its neighbours, yet remains in keeping with the look of the Gardens which date back to the turn of the century and typify Eastbourne’s elegant Victorian heritage. (You can read more about choosing exterior paint colours for building projects here).

Pre-survey works revealed asbestos in parts of the portico structure which was carefully removed by a licensed contractor and Eastbourne roofing company Clarke Roofing were appointed to manage repairs to the flat roofs and fire walls.

Final inspections were carried out with Christina Ewbank, Chief Executive of Eastbourne UnLtd, on the scaffold to enable her to view the completed works at close quarters.
